How to Play Dragon Traveler on PC
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Dragon Traveler has an official Windows version on Steam. It is free to play, published by HongKong GameTree, and came out on 10 February 2026, about a month after the mobile launch. This page covers the download, the hardware it needs, what to do about Mac and Linux, and when an emulator still makes sense.

Download on Steam
- Open the Dragon Traveler Steam page (app 4104440) and click Play Game. The install is about 20 GB.
- Launch it from your Steam library. The first start downloads the latest patch, so give it a few minutes on a slow connection.
- Log in or create an account, pick your server and finish the tutorial. The redeem code field unlocks after the tutorial; current codes are on our codes page.
The Steam release lists English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Japanese has full voice acting.

Mac, Linux and emulators
- Mac: there is no macOS build. On Apple Silicon Macs the iOS app may be installable from the Mac App Store if the publisher allows it; otherwise use the phone version.
- Linux / Steam Deck: no native build and no official support. Compatibility layers may run it, but anti-cheat and updates can break that at any time.
- Android emulators: they run the mobile app on Windows and keep the mobile login options. Use one only if the Steam client will not run on your PC; it is heavier than the native version.
Tips for playing on PC
- Keep the client open in the background while you work: idle rewards keep building, and you can collect them in one click.
- A bigger screen makes manual Overdrive timing easier, which matters in the Colosseum and Temporal Rift. Each team on our teams page lists the order to fire them in.
- New to the game? Start with the tier list and the game modes guide.
Dragon Traveler PC FAQ
- Is Dragon Traveler on PC?
- Yes. HongKong GameTree released a free-to-play Windows version on Steam on 10 February 2026, about a month after the mobile launch.
- Is Dragon Traveler on Steam free?
- Yes, it is free to play with the same in-game purchases as the mobile version.
- Can I play Dragon Traveler on Mac or Linux?
- Not natively. The Steam page only lists Windows requirements. Mac and Linux players either use the mobile version or a compatibility layer, which the publisher does not support.
- Can I use my mobile account on PC?
- The Steam page does not mention cross-progression. Before switching, bind your mobile account in the in-game settings so it is not a guest account, then check in game whether your server and login method are offered on PC.
- Should I use an emulator instead?
- Only if the Steam version will not run on your machine. An Android emulator runs the mobile app and keeps the mobile login options, but it needs more RAM and CPU than the native client and is not an official way to play.
