Dragon Traveler Factions Explained

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Every Luminary belongs to one of seven factions, and 20 of the 61 units in our database count for two. Fielding several units from the same faction unlocks a faction bonus, so knowing who belongs where is the first step of team building. Below is each faction's roster, its class mix, and the mechanics its members share.

How to use factions when building a team

  • Dual-faction units are the easiest way to hit a faction bonus without giving up a key role – for example Melina counts for both Sanctum Glory and Elemental Echo.
  • Faction bonuses are worth less than a missing role. A team without a tank or healer usually loses to the same roster with one off-faction support.
  • Mechanics often cross factions: an Elemental Echo applier enables every unit with a bonus against [Elemental Debuff] targets, whatever their faction.
  • For complete formations, see Dream Teams and the tier list.
