Arachne Dragon Traveler Build & Guide
Fatespinner Matriarch
Overview
Arachne is an SSR+ Mage released on 22 October 2026. Silk Missile stacks Web on the highest-Attack enemy until 10 stacks wrap it in Cocoon; then her Overdrive costs 0 Energy and she leaps in as a spider for 900-1440% of Attack in a large circle. Our Take on Arachne
Arachne is too new for a community rating, so treat our T2 as a provisional read of her kit. The loop is unusual. In Human Form, Silk Missile hits the highest-Attack enemy for 1200-1920% of Attack and adds 3 Web; at 10 Web it applies an 8-second Cocoon. Once she has applied Cocoon her Overdrive costs 0, so she transforms, leaps to the Cocoon target and deals 900-1440% in a large circle. Spider Form adds 100% Attack Speed and halves Silk Missile's cooldown, and the trip back to Human Form is also free once no enemy carries Cocoon. Talent level 4 adds 7% Attack per Silk Missile cast. On paper she is strong in long fights; real team results are not in yet.
Strengths
- +Her Overdrive costs 0 Energy after she applies Cocoon, and again once no enemy carries Cocoon, so she can switch forms without draining Energy.
- +Silk Missile automatically targets the enemy Luminary or Wyrm with the highest Attack, so Web and Cocoon land on the biggest threat.
- +Talent level 4 adds 7% Attack permanently per Silk Missile cast, up to 280%, and Spider Form halves its cooldown, so her damage keeps growing in long fights.
- +When she takes fatal damage in Spider Form, Spider Instinct gives her 4 seconds of immunity and sends her back to Human Form.
Weaknesses
- −The verdict is early: there is no divinity, gear, relic or formation data for her yet, and no tested team results.
- −She needs 10 Web before the loop starts, which at 3 Web per Silk Missile takes several casts unless allies trigger Punishment.
- −The kit is demanding to play by hand, with two forms, two leap directions and conditional Overdrive costs.
How to Play Arachne
Read this as guidance from the kit, not from tested teams. The opening phase is Human Form, and Silk Missile is the engine: it hits the highest-Attack enemy, adds 3 Web (one more if it triggers Punishment), and talent level 1 adds 1 Web whenever an ally triggers Punishment. At 10 Web, Silk Missile applies Cocoon for 8 seconds, consumes the Web and clears control effects from her, and talent level 2 resets Silk Missile's cooldown for every 10 Web she applies. As soon as Cocoon lands, cast Spider Mother's True Form. It costs 0 Energy at that point, she is untargetable during the leap, and the 3-second cooldown means it is ready again quickly. In Spider Form she gains 100% Attack Speed, ignores 10% of Magic Defense and casts Silk Missile twice as often; a Punishment there adds damage equal to 200% of the target's lost HP, up to 2000% of her Attack. Talent level 7 refills her Rage after each transformation, which sends her into Wild for a 20-32% heal, 30-48% more damage and, in Spider Form, Lifesteal. When no enemy carries Cocoon, the return to Human Form is free too, so the cycle can restart. If Cocoon cannot be applied, Silk Missile instead deals true damage of 15% of Attack per Web stack, doubled at 10 stacks.
Good Teammates
- Tyrfing (SSR+) – Tyrfing shares both of Arachne's factions, and Soulburning Blade can trigger Punishment, which adds Web stacks through Thread of Fate.
- Lilith (SSR+) – Lilith shares both factions and inflicts Healing Down whenever an ally triggers Punishment, which Silk Missile can do in either form.
- Atanith (SSR) – Silent Judgment hits all enemies and can trigger Punishment, a possible source of extra Web on several targets at once.
- Medusa (SSR) – From talent level 7 Medusa's Venom Mark detonations can trigger Punishment, giving Arachne more Web from Medusa's basic attacks.
Keywords in brackets are explained in the status effect glossary.
Should You Invest?
There is no star, divinity, gear or relic guidance for Arachne yet, so hold off on heavy investment until her results are clearer. Decide on her banner based on whether you play Wild Spirit or Illusion Veil, since both her factions need her to have a place in your teams. Her talent nodes carry the loop, especially level 4's Attack stacking and level 7's Rage refill, and Thread of Fate's true damage rises to 42% of Attack at level 5 and 45% at level 6. Free-to-play players should keep their resources for proven units and revisit her once teams have been tested.
Arachne FAQ
- Is Arachne worth pulling?
- It is early to say. Her kit reads as strong in long fights, with 0-Energy Overdrives and permanent Attack stacking, which is why we provisionally place her at T2. There is no tested team data yet, so only pull if you play Wild Spirit or Illusion Veil and accept some risk.
- How does Arachne's Cocoon work?
- Silk Missile adds 3 Web per cast, 1 more when it triggers Punishment, and her talent adds 1 whenever an ally triggers Punishment. At 10 Web, Silk Missile applies Cocoon for 8 seconds and consumes the Web. Her talent also adds true damage of 30-48% of Attack to every hit on a Cocooned enemy.
- When should Arachne use her Overdrive?
- Right after she applies Cocoon, when it costs 0 Energy, to leap onto the Cocoon target in Spider Form. Switch back once no enemy carries Cocoon, which is also free. Casting at other times means paying full Energy and breaking the loop.
- Can I try Arachne without pulling?
- Possibly. The Tower of Babel Trial that launched alongside her banner on 22 October requires its featured Luminary in every battle and lends a temporary copy if you do not own one. If Arachne is the featured unit on your server, that is a free way to test her loop before spending.
