Our Take on Ophelia

Ophelia is T4 on our list, and that needs context: she is narrow, not weak. Her kit works best with Punishment-heavy teammates and at Red 6 with her exclusive relic, and most formations do not have a slot for her. Inside those limits she is good. Sanctuary is her currency: Radiant Sanctuary covers allies in a massive circle, talent level 1 adds one every 10 seconds with a heal, and Sanctuary carriers get 30% Attack at talent level 7. The relic's Red 6 effect makes Sanctuary carriers immune to the next Overdrive Energy cost increase, a tool Elemental Echo teams lean on heavily. Build her as a counter, not as your first Priest.

Strengths

  • +Radiant Sanctuary covers allies in a massive circle, and recasting it on Sanctuary carriers adds Attack Boost and, at talent level 4, Fervor.
  • +Talent level 7 gives every Sanctuary carrier 30% more Attack, so her protection doubles as damage support.
  • +Sacred Guard heals a large circle three times for 5.5-9.5% of her Max HP and grants Fervor, which helps Morale users reach Grace.
  • +With Holy Sword Fragment at Red 6, Sanctuary carriers ignore the next Overdrive Energy cost increase, blunting Elemental Echo's energy pressure.

Weaknesses

  • −Her signature effect needs Red 6 and the exclusive relic, a large investment for a counter pick.
  • −Several pieces depend on Punishment triggering on her side, so teams without Punishment users get much less from her.
  • −Most formations have no free slot for a second support, so she often sits on the bench.

How to Play Ophelia

Ophelia stands in the backline. In the Sanctum Glory formations her Overdrive comes after the damage dealers: Apollo, Gabriel, Rin and Vivienne go first, then Ophelia, and in the Hela lineup she casts just before Hitomi. That is intentional. Talent level 1 has already handed out Sanctuary every 10 seconds, so by the time Radiant Sanctuary lands most targets already carry it and receive Attack Boost, plus Fervor from talent level 4. Fervor is her link to Grace. Pair her with Morale sources such as Gabriel's Benediction, Rin or Caesar's Servant's Rally, and many of your units will enter Grace after her Overdrive. Divine Resolve at divinity level 6 makes Sacred Guard give Fervor to allies in a large circle, which strengthens this further. Divine Judgment, her ultimate, sends Sanctuary to the highest-Attack ally, and to a random ally each time Punishment triggers; Beatification also gives Sanctuary to any ally who triggers Punishment. The more Punishment users you field, the more often Sanctuary refreshes, and talent level 2 raises her healing by 4% per Punishment, up to 10 stacks. In PvP, bring her against Elemental Echo teams that raise your Overdrive costs, where the relic's Red 6 effect does the most work.

Good Teammates

  • Gabriel (SSR+) – Benediction gives Morale and Ophelia's Sacred Guard and Radiant Sanctuary give Fervor, pushing Gabriel into Grace; they appear together in most of Ophelia's formations.
  • Caesar (SSR+) – Fervor from Ophelia puts Caesar into Grace, which doubles Servant's Rally's shields and adds Magic Defense Up.
  • Apollo (SSR EX) – Divine Judgment sends Sanctuary to the highest-Attack ally, usually Apollo, so the 30% Attack bonus for Sanctuary carriers lands on the main carry.
  • Vivienne (SSR+) – Vivienne appears in every one of Ophelia's formations, covering the main carry through possession while Ophelia spreads Sanctuary and Fervor to the rest.

Keywords in brackets are explained in the status effect glossary.

Should You Invest?

Her star target is clear: Red 6 at least, with her exclusive relic Holy Sword Fragment. At Purple 6 the relic gives Sanctuary to every same-faction ally at the start of battle and 20% Magic Defense to the team for 12 seconds; Red 6 adds the Energy cost immunity. For divinity take Health Enhancement at level 1, Sanctum Haste at level 2, Health Enhancement at level 3, Sanctum Attack at level 4, Health Enhancement at level 5 and Divine Resolve at level 6. Gear is four Haste pieces with the Energy set, and Executor for PvP or Divine Officer for general use. Free-to-play players should skip her unless Elemental Echo is a real problem on their server.

Ophelia FAQ

Why is Ophelia only T4?
Because she is a counter pick, not because her kit is bad. She needs Red 6 and her exclusive relic to do her main job, works best with Punishment-heavy teammates, and most formations have no slot for her. In the matchups she is built for, especially against Elemental Echo, she performs well above her tier.
What is the best relic for Ophelia?
Holy Sword Fragment, her exclusive SSR+ relic. Purple 6 gives Sanctuary to same-faction allies at the start of battle and 20% Magic Defense to the team for 12 seconds. Red 6 makes Sanctuary carriers immune to the next Overdrive Energy cost increase, and its divinity effect adds a shield worth 30% of her Max HP each time Sanctuary is granted, at most once every 3 seconds.
Is Ophelia good against Elemental Echo?
Yes, that is her main PvP use. Elemental Echo units such as Morgana and Vermilion Bird raise your next Overdrive Energy cost, and with the relic at Red 6 any ally carrying Sanctuary ignores the next such increase. When she applies Sanctuary to an ally in Grace, she also clears an increase already on them.
Ophelia or Vivienne?
Vivienne for almost every team: she is a T1 Priest who fits Sanctum Glory and Elemental Echo by default. Ophelia is a second support you bring alongside Vivienne in Sanctum Glory, or a counter against Elemental Echo; her example formations all field both.
