Hela Dragon Traveler Build & Guide
Goddess of Death
Overview
Hela is an SSR EX Priest who takes an enemy out of the fight. Soul Hook Scythe fires at battle start to stun and drag the farthest enemy, and Void Prison banishes a target for 5 seconds, 8 at talent level 4, before dealing true damage. Her Gaze mark gives allies extra Crit and damage and heals them as they hit.

If the target cannot be Banish, applies Damage Reduction Down to it and deals true damage equal to 40-64% of the target's current HP (up to a maximum of 400-640% of the caster's Max HP).
When the number of surviving ally Luminaries is less than or equal to the number of surviving enemy Luminaries, the caster will not be Banish.
Soul Hook Scythe
S2 · Ultimate Skill · 90s cooldownThrows a scythe at the farthest enemy Luminary or Wyrm in a straight line (prioritizing Luminaries), dealing magic damage equal to 600% of own Attack and inflicting Stun for 2-3.2s. After this, drags the target twice to the front of this unit and deals magic damage equal to 600% of own Attack. Afterward, the caster and the nearest ally Melee Luminary target the enemy. If the target dies, resets this skill's cooldown.
Casts this skill once at the start of battle.
Realm of the Deceased
S3 · Secret SkillDeath's Gaze additionally reduces the target's Crit by 300-480 and increases damage dealt by 20-32%. When Hela is present, allies deal damage to targets with Death's Gaze, increasing Crit by 300-480 and increasing damage dealt by 20-32%. If the ally is in the Grace state, Crit is further increased by 150-240 and damage increases by 10-16%.
Soul Lamp
S4 · Special Skill · 6s cooldownThrows a lantern at the ally Luminary with the lowest HP, excluding itself. Every second, heals allies within the lantern's range for 6-9% of the caster's Max HP and grants 1 stack of Death Rattle. (Can be granted to non-Otherworld characters.)
If the ally Luminary's HP falls below 20% while the lantern is active, the lantern is retrieved, and the Luminary is dragged to the caster's side, granting it a shield equal to 80% of the caster's Max HP for 10s. (This effect can only trigger once every 15s.)
Whenever an ally is defeated, gains 1 stack of Death Rattle.
Ranges such as 340-520% show the value at skill level 1 and at max level. Keywords are explained in the glossary.

Our Take on Hela
Hela is T1 and one of the most flexible supports in the game. Her build priority covers Sanctum Glory, Otherworld Return and roughly every team. Void Prison is the headline: banishing an enemy carry turns the opening of a fight into six against five, and at talent level 4 Hela never goes in with them. Her Gaze mark adds 300-480 Crit and 20-32% damage for every ally hitting the marked target, more for allies in Grace, and heals the attackers. Soul Lamp keeps healing and hands out Death Rattle even to non-Otherworld allies. Red 1★ is the minimum. She is also a selectable pick in the 29 October Mythical Summon.
Strengths
- +Void Prison removes a target for 5 seconds, or 8 at talent level 4 without banishing Hela, then deals true damage of 30-48% of its current HP.
- +Soul Hook Scythe casts at battle start for 600% of Attack and a 2-3.2 second Stun, drags the farthest enemy forward twice and resets on a kill.
- +Her Gaze mark gives allies 300-480 Crit and 20-32% more damage against the target, with extra for allies in Grace, and heals them for 24-39% of damage dealt.
- +Soul Lamp heals for 6-9% of her Max HP each second, grants Death Rattle to any faction, and can pull a dying ally to her with a shield worth 80% of her Max HP.
Weaknesses
- −Before talent level 4, if your side has more Luminaries alive than the enemy, Void Prison takes Hela into the banish too.
- −Soul Hook Scythe has a 90-second cooldown, so outside kill resets it is a one-time opener.
- −Her own damage is low; her value depends on teammates attacking the targets she marks.
- −Against targets that cannot be banished, Void Prison becomes Damage Reduction Down plus true damage rather than removal.
How to Play Hela
Hela sits in the back row as the priest. The fight starts with Soul Hook Scythe: it targets the farthest enemy Luminary, stuns it, drags it to the front and then Hela and the nearest allied melee Luminary attack it. At talent level 2 it also applies Damage Reduction Down and pulls the nearest allied ranged Luminary onto the target. Put a melee carry close to her so that focus fire starts immediately. Void Prison is your manual decision. In PvP, banish whoever wins the fight for them: a burst carry, a healer or an Energy disruptor. Before talent level 4, check the numbers: if your side has more Luminaries alive, Hela will vanish with the target. At talent level 3, being 2 Luminaries down lets Void Prison take an extra target. In the listed Sanctum formations she casts after Xuanwu, Vivienne and Mimir; in the Otherworld formation, after Asmodeus, Loki and Spimo. Those teams then focus whatever carries her Gaze. For divinity, take Health at level 1, Sanctum Haste at level 2, Health or Anti-Crit at level 3, Sanctum Haste or Attack at level 4 and Health at level 5. Level 6, Vision of the Fallen, cuts the marked target's Crit Damage by another 45% and adds 45% Crit Damage for allies hitting it, a large boost for crit carries in Sanctum teams.
Good Teammates
- Apollo (SSR EX) – Apollo grants Fervor to back-row allies and enters Grace herself, and Hela's Gaze gives Grace allies extra Crit and damage on top of the base bonus.
- Mimir (SSR+) – Mimir shares Sanctum formations with Hela, casts just before her, and enters Grace to collect the larger Gaze bonus.
- Vivienne (SSR+) – Vivienne grants Fervor on possession at talent level 2, helping allies into Grace, and appears in every listed Sanctum formation with Hela.
- Tamamo (SSR+) – Tamamo enters Grace in Hela's Sanctum formations and is a single-target carry that gains the most from focusing the marked enemy.
- Asmodeus (SSR+) – Hela's Soul Lamp grants Death Rattle stacks, and each stack adds 10% to Asmodeus' Hellfire damage in the Otherworld formation.
Keywords in brackets are explained in the status effect glossary.
Should You Invest?
Red 1★ is the minimum, which takes 8 copies, and her priority is Sanctum Glory, Otherworld Return and roughly every team. For divinity favour Health and Sanctum Haste, then Vision of the Fallen at level 6. The kit recommends Star Crystal Spear, which dispels one debuff whenever she casts while debuffed, with Elven Greatshield as the alternative. The High Priest subclass adds an Overdrive Point every 9.5-6.8 seconds, but it does not stack with other Energy Recovery subclasses on the team. Gear is the Arcane Haste set with Tome of Stars and Starlight Magisterium. For free-to-play players she is a safe Mythical Summon pick.
Hela FAQ
- Is Hela worth picking in the Mythical Summon?
- She is one of the safest picks. Hela is T1, fits Sanctum Glory and Otherworld Return teams and roughly every other team, and works from Red 1★. If you want one SSR EX who stays useful whatever your main team is, she is a strong choice.
- How does Hela's Void Prison work?
- It banishes Hela and the target for 5 seconds, then deals true damage of 30-48% of the target's current HP. Hela is not banished when your side has the same or fewer Luminaries alive, and from talent level 4 she is never banished and the duration rises to 8 seconds. Targets that cannot be banished take Damage Reduction Down and more true damage instead.
- What star level does Hela need?
- Red 1★ at least. That unlocks enough of her kit to be a full support, and her talents add the 8-second banish at level 4 and Skill Haste at levels 5 and 7.
- Does Hela work in Otherworld teams?
- Yes. She belongs to Otherworld Return and appears in a Rebirth formation with Asmodeus, Loki and Spimo. Her Soul Lamp hands out Death Rattle stacks, which several Otherworld kits scale on, including Asmodeus' Hellfire.
