Mimir Dragon Traveler Build & Guide
Giant of Wisdom
Overview
Mimir is an SSR+ Archer from Sanctum Glory and Arcane Wisdom and one of the strongest single-target carries in October 2026. Her hits add a share of her current shield value as damage, so she wants every shield the team can give her, from Vivienne, Azure Dragon and Xuanwu. She is expensive and needs a team built around her.

Our Take on Mimir
Mimir is T1. She attacks very fast and builds her own Shield of Wisdom stacks from basic attacks, up to 20, but her real scaling comes from shields of any kind. Cyclone Slash adds 44-46% of her current shield value to each of its 20 hits, and a Grace-enhanced Timewheel adds 108-172% per hit. That is why she lives in teams with Vivienne, Azure Dragon and Xuanwu. Each allied Overdrive also gives her Awakening, which she spends on extra Timewheels, so Overdrive-heavy Arcane and Sanctum teams feed her well. The price is Diamond stars and a team that exists to shield her. Pull her if you play Sanctum or Arcane and own the shielders; skip her if you have neither Vivienne nor Azure Dragon.
Strengths
- +Cyclone Slash deals 20 hits that each add 44-46% of her current shield value, then a 220-380% area finisher.
- +Arcane Torrent gives her Awakening for each allied Overdrive and spends it at once on an extra Timewheel.
- +Node 4 gives 1500 Crit Resist while Shield of Wisdom is up, the attribute's cap, and shares her Blessing Buffs with a Sanctum ally.
- +Node 7 cuts 0.3 seconds from Cyclone Slash every time Timewheel deals damage, so she cycles her Overdrive quickly.
Weaknesses
- −Without strong shielders her damage drops sharply; she needs a team built around her.
- −Diamond stars are required, which is 18 copies.
- −Grace ends when her enhanced Timewheel finishes, so she needs Morale and Fervor again and again.
- −Cyclone Slash concentrates on one target, so wide waves take less from her than from area carries.
How to Play Mimir
Mimir plays from the back row. In recorded teams the shielders cast first: Xuanwu, Vivienne, Mimir, Hela in Sanctum, and Artemis, Mimir, Talos in Arcane. Shields come first because Cyclone Slash adds a share of her current shield to every hit, so she should cast it while she holds Xuanwu's Overdrive shield, Vivienne's possession shield and Azure Dragon's Formation shield. Xuanwu's Unbroken Flow, aimed at Mimir as the ranged option, taunts the nearest enemy for 10 seconds and shields her for 15, which is the ideal setup. Vivienne's possession grants Fervor as well as a shield. Add a Morale source such as Caesar's Servant's Rally and Mimir enters Grace: Timewheel gains its shield-scaling bonus and Whirling Twin Blades turns her basic attacks into 8 hits each for 8 seconds. Grace ends when the enhanced Timewheel finishes, so your Morale and Fervor sources set her damage rhythm. For divinity, take Sanctum Attack Speed or Sanctum Attack at level 2, Crit Enhancement at level 3 if you are below the 1500 Crit cap or Attack Enhancement if not, Sanctum Attack at level 4, Attack Speed Enhancement at level 5 and Counterattack at level 6, which raises Timewheel and Cyclone Slash shield damage by 30%. Sharpshooter is the subclass. In PvP, node 4's Crit Resist makes her hard to burst, but shield strippers such as Mordred cut her damage hard.
Good Teammates
- Vivienne (SSR+) – Possesses the highest-Attack ally in her column with a shield and Fervor, feeding both Mimir's shield damage and her Grace.
- Azure Dragon (SSR+) – Shields the whole team at battle start and every 18 seconds, and her relic's Divinity 3 shares Bonus Damage with the highest-Attack ally.
- Xuanwu (SSR+) – Unbroken Flow can target Mimir as a ranged ally, shielding her for 15 seconds and taunting the nearest enemy.
- Artemis (SSR EX) – Opens the Arcane Overdrive order, gives ranged allies 25 Haste and bonus damage, and her Overdrive adds Awakening for Mimir's extra Timewheel.
- Caesar (SSR+) – Servant's Rally grants Morale and a shield to allies behind her, covering the Morale half of Mimir's Grace.
Keywords in brackets are explained in the status effect glossary.
Should You Invest?
Mimir needs Diamond (18 copies) to carry. Divinity: Sanctum Attack Speed, Crit Enhancement or Attack Enhancement, Sanctum Attack, Attack Speed Enhancement and Counterattack. Relic: Star Crystal Greatsword, which adds 14.4% Attack and both defenses, plus 7.2% more every 10 seconds survived, up to 43.2%; it suits her long, ramping fights. Subclass: Sharpshooter, whose sixth basic attack gains 1500 Crit and 90-144% Crit Damage. Gear: Penetration weapon and Judgment with Crit Damage, Attack Speed or Haste pieces. Free players should treat her as a long-term target and only commit if they already own Vivienne or Azure Dragon.
Mimir FAQ
- Is Mimir worth pulling?
- Yes, if you play Sanctum Glory or Arcane Wisdom and own shielders such as Vivienne, Azure Dragon or Xuanwu. She is T1 but needs Diamond stars and a team built around her, so skip her if you have neither Vivienne nor Azure Dragon.
- Why does Mimir need shields?
- Each hit of Cyclone Slash adds 44-46% of her current shield value, and Timewheel in Grace adds 108-172%. More shield on Mimir means more damage, which is why her teams are built around shielders.
- What is the best team for Mimir?
- Recorded teams pair her with Vivienne, Azure Dragon and Xuanwu, plus Hela, Gabriel and Scheherazade in Sanctum or Artemis, Talos and Prometheus in Arcane. Cast the shielders' Overdrives before hers.
- What star level does Mimir need?
- Diamond is listed as required for her to work as a main carry. Below that she still works, but she will not carry a team on her own.
