Overview

Vivienne is an SSR+ Priest for Sanctum Glory and Elemental Echo. She possesses one ally, giving that carry a shield, a share of her Attack, Fervor and, at talent level 4, control immunity, while she herself becomes untargetable. Her skills heal the possessed carry and the team around it. She is a staple buffer for single-carry teams built on Mimir or Apollo.

Our Take on Vivienne

Vivienne is T1 and one of the most common Priests in Sanctum Glory and Arcane Wisdom teams. Possession is her whole kit. At the start of battle she bonds to the highest-Attack ally in her column, giving it a shield worth 340-500% of its Attack and adding 35-51% of her own Attack to its Attack, capped at 100%. Talent level 2 adds Fervor, which helps Grace-based carries, and level 4 adds 15% Damage Reduction and control immunity, which is why she counters opening control such as Thor's. While possessing she is untargetable, and her damage skills heal the carry. Red 1★ is the minimum; with her exclusive relic, aim for Red 6★.

Strengths

  • +Possession gives one ally a shield worth 340-500% of that ally's Attack and adds 35-51% of Vivienne's Attack to it, up to double the target's own Attack.
  • +Talent level 4 makes the possessed ally immune to control and adds 15% Damage Reduction, protecting a carry from opening stuns.
  • +Talent level 2 grants Fervor each time possession triggers, which pushes carries such as Gabriel, Mimir or Jormungandr into Grace.
  • +She is untargetable while possessing, and Wellspring of Life heals allies in a large circle every 10 seconds, plus once more each time the possessed target triggers an Elemental Reaction.

Weaknesses

  • −When the possession shield breaks, possession ends and Vivienne becomes targetable, so heavy burst on your carry also exposes her.
  • −Her value is tied to one ally; teams that spread damage across many units get less from her.
  • −Her exclusive relic is hard to obtain, and the Red 6★ recommendation that comes with it takes 14 copies.

How to Play Vivienne

Position decides her opening. Gleam of Refuge possesses the highest-Attack ally in Vivienne's column at battle start, so place her in the same column as the carry you want buffed. If the wrong ally gets it, her Overdrive lets you switch targets or reset the shield on the current one. Treat Sacred Spring's Blessing as a shield refresh, not just a heal. Cast it when the possession shield is close to breaking: it resets the shield, heals 260-500% of Attack plus 20% of the target's lost HP, and adds Crit Damage Up. In recorded Sanctum rotations she casts after the main burst, for example Apollo, Gabriel, Rin, then Vivienne, which lines the refresh up with the moment the carry is under the most pressure. Her ultimate fires at the farthest enemy and applies Cold, and both damage skills return 40% of their damage as healing to the possessed ally. In Elemental Echo teams, Elemental Reactions by the possessed target trigger extra Wellspring of Life heals, and her Divinity level 4 options key off allied Elemental Reactions. Talent level 7 restores the full shield when the possessed target scores a kill, once every 15 seconds, which suits finishers like Jormungandr. Heartfelt Connection at Divinity level 6 adds 30% to the shield. In PvP, possess the unit the enemy will try to control or burst first.

Good Teammates

  • Mimir (SSR+) – Mimir is a single-target carry that gains enhanced basic attacks whenever she enters Grace, and Vivienne's possession supplies Fervor, a shield and a big Attack bonus.
  • Apollo (SSR EX) – Apollo is the main carry of most recorded Sanctum teams, and possession keeps her safe and in Grace for Scatterlight Arrow's splash damage.
  • Jormungandr (SSR+) – Jormungandr makes her own Morale, so Vivienne's Fervor completes Grace and doubles Ravaging Maw's lost-HP scaling, and each kill can refill the shield at talent level 7.
  • Gabriel (SSR+) – Gabriel gains 510-750 more Crit in Grace, and Vivienne's possession provides the Fervor plus an untargetable healer behind her.
  • Pompey (SSR+) – Possessing Pompey with the Overdrive gives the Arcane and Illusion tank the control immunity her own kit lacks.

Keywords in brackets are explained in the status effect glossary.

Should You Invest?

Red 1★ (8 copies) is the minimum, and Red 6★ (14 copies) is the target once you own her exclusive relic, Broken Steel Scabbard, which gives the possessed carry a Blessing Buff every 6 seconds and redirects 25% of its damage taken to Vivienne. Star Crystal Greatsword is the stand-in. Divinity: Elemental Haste at level 2 and Elemental Attack at 4 in Elemental Echo teams, Health Enhancement at 3 and 5, and Heartfelt Connection at 6. Divine Officer raises her damage ceiling; High Priest adds Overdrive Points if your team lacks them. Gear: Attack set with an Impact piece. Free players should stop at Red 1★.

Vivienne FAQ

Is Vivienne worth pulling?
Yes. She is T1 and one of the most common Priests in Sanctum Glory and Arcane Wisdom teams, because possession makes any single carry safer and stronger. She needs Red 1★ (8 copies) to do her job.
Who should Vivienne possess?
Your main single-target carry, such as Mimir, Apollo or Gabriel. At battle start she automatically picks the highest-Attack ally in her column, so line her up with that carry; her Overdrive can switch the target later.
High Priest or Divine Officer for Vivienne?
Divine Officer is the usual recommendation because it raises the damage ceiling by adding random Stat Buffs to her heal targets. High Priest is the pick when your team needs a steady supply of Overdrive Points, granting 1 every 9.5-6.8 seconds.
Why is Vivienne good against Thor?
Thor opens fights with control from Thunder Prison Judgment. At talent level 4 Vivienne's possessed target is immune to control effects, so the carry you protect keeps acting through the opener.
