Overview

Prometheus is an SSR EX Guardian who arrived on 3 September 2026. Nebula Chains steals 20% Attack and Defenses, plus Crit, Dodge, Block and Crit Damage, from one enemy, then heals her and fills her Rage. Her talent cuts every enemy's Crit Damage by 32-50%, which blunts crit-based carries.

Prometheus Skills

Nebula Chains

S1 · Overdrive · 20s cooldown

Steals 20% Attack, 20% Physical Defense and Magic Defense, 300 Crit, 300 Dodge, 300 Block, and 30% Crit Damage from a single target (does not affect bosses) for 8s. Cannot stack and can only steal from 1 target at a time. Then, restores HP equal to 50-75% of Max HP and 100% Rage, and deals magic damage equal to 880-1200% of Attack to enemies within a large circular area.

Cross Chain Strike

S2 · Ultimate Skill · 8s cooldown

Swings chains into an X-shaped area, crossing at the enemy with the highest Attack and dealing magic damage equal to 600-900% of Attack. Each chain also deals magic damage equal to 200-300% of Attack to any enemies it hits. Gains Rage when HP decreases. When Rage is at the limit, enters the Wild state. While in the Wild state, the damage dealt to the crossed target changes to magic damage equal to 600-900% of Attack + 600-900% of the target's Attack (up to a maximum of 2400-3600% of Attack) and benefits from 100% Lifesteal.

Charging Assault

S3 · Secret Skill

After using a skill, the next basic attack is buffed, dealing magic damage equal to 480-680% of this unit's Attack to all enemies within a large surrounding circular area and grants a shield equal to 20-30% of Max HP for 6s, stacking up to 3 times.

Triple Spiral

S4 · Special Skill · 12s cooldown

Throws a spiral chain, dealing magic damage equal to 550-800% of the caster's Attack to enemies in a straight line and grants a shield equal to 10-15% of Max HP multiplied by the current number of Awakening stacks for 10s, then consumes all Awakening stacks. When in the Wild state, Awakening stacks are not consumed.

Each time an ally uses an Overdrive, gains 1 stack of Awakening.

Ranges such as 340-520% show the value at skill level 1 and at max level. Keywords are explained in the glossary.

Our Take on Prometheus

Prometheus is T2, a specialist tank whose value rises with how much the enemy relies on crits and stats. Her talent reduces all enemy Crit Damage by 32-50% and caps the Crit Damage of anyone who crits her. Nebula Chains steals a block of stats from one enemy for 8 seconds, 12 with her level 6 divinity, and at talent level 4 she steals from the nearest enemy Luminary at battle start and can hold several steals at once. The steal also restores 100% Rage, so she drops straight into Wild, where Cross Chain Strike adds the target's own Attack to its damage with 100% Lifesteal. Red 1★ is the minimum, and she is a selectable pick in the 29 October Mythical Summon.

Strengths

  • +Her talent reduces every enemy's Crit Damage by 32-50% and caps the Crit Damage of attackers who crit her.
  • +Nebula Chains steals 20% Attack, 20% Defenses, 300 Crit, 300 Dodge, 300 Block and 30% Crit Damage, and talent level 3 raises the steal by 50%.
  • +Her Overdrive restores 100% Rage, so she enters Wild at once, where Cross Chain Strike adds 600-900% of the target's Attack with 100% Lifesteal.
  • +Each Awakening she gains cuts all her skill cooldowns by 1 second at talent level 2, and Triple Spiral shields her per Awakening stack.

Weaknesses

  • −The steal does not affect bosses, so in boss fights she loses her main mechanic.
  • −She is T2, not T0: her strength depends on the enemy having stats worth stealing and crits worth blocking.
  • −Her full-star gear set uses the Order pieces, and her deeper builds assume high star investment.

How to Play Prometheus

Prometheus plays in the front row as the tank. At talent level 4 she starts the fight by applying the Nebula Chains steal to the nearest enemy Luminary in a straight line, so front-line placement decides who she drains first. Aim Nebula Chains at the enemy carry. A carry who loses 20% Attack and 30% Crit Damage, on top of her talent's Crit Damage cut, deals far less, and Prometheus gains those stats herself. The cast also heals her for 50-75% of Max HP and fills her Rage to 100%. In Wild, Cross Chain Strike, which crosses at the enemy with the highest Attack, adds that target's Attack to its damage up to 2400-3600% of her Attack. She gains Awakening whenever an ally uses an Overdrive, so a team that casts often keeps her cooldowns moving. In the listed Arcane formations she casts after Artemis, Mimir and Talos; in Spirit formation 4, after Lilith and Tyrfing. For divinity take Health at level 1, Wild Crit Resist or Wild Block at level 2, Magic Defense or Health at level 3, Wild Haste at level 4, Health or Block at level 5 and Tit for Tat at level 6, which extends the steal by 4 seconds. In PvP she is a direct counter to crit carries. In PvE, keep her for Trial Realms and the Wyrmbone Ruins rather than bosses.

Good Teammates

  • Talos (SSR+) – Talos shares Wild Spirit and Arcane Wisdom, appears in both listed Arcane formations, and enters Wild, triggering Prometheus' level 4 Wild Haste.
  • Artemis (SSR EX) – Artemis opens the Arcane formations with her Overdrive, and every allied Overdrive gives Prometheus an Awakening stack and shorter cooldowns.
  • Mimir (SSR+) – Mimir is the carry in both Arcane formations Prometheus tanks for, and her Overdrive adds another Awakening stack.
  • Venus (SSR EX) – Venus heals an ally for 18% of Max HP on entering Wild, which Prometheus does every time she casts Nebula Chains.
  • Lilith (SSR+) – Lilith appears in all of Prometheus' Spirit formations and gives allies in the Wild state 50% more Bonus Damage against targets with Pain Echo at talent level 7.

Keywords in brackets are explained in the status effect glossary.

Should You Invest?

Red 1★ is the minimum, which takes 8 copies, and she is recommended for every team. For divinity take the Health nodes, Wild Haste at level 4 and Tit for Tat at level 6. The kit recommends Elven Greatshield, which starts the battle with 68% Damage Reduction, and the Templar or Avenger subclass. Gear is the Flamelord's HP set with Tome of Stars and Starlight Magisterium, the Arcane Haste set at Red 1★, or the Order pieces at full stars. Free-to-play players picking her from the Mythical Summon should stop at Red 1★ and invest elsewhere.

Prometheus FAQ

Is Prometheus worth picking in the Mythical Summon?
If you face crit-heavy PvP teams or run Wild Spirit or Arcane Wisdom, yes. She is T2, recommended for every team and works from Red 1★. If you want the most flexible support instead, compare her with Hela, who is T1.
Does Prometheus' steal work on bosses?
No. Nebula Chains states that the steal does not affect bosses. She still deals her damage and heals, but her signature mechanic is a PvP and Trial Realm tool.
What star level does Prometheus need?
Red 1★ at least. The kit also lists a Haste gear set at Red 1★ and an Order set for full stars, so there is room to invest further if she becomes a core of your team.
Prometheus or Hela?
They do different jobs. Hela is a T1 Priest who banishes a threat and boosts allied damage, fitting Sanctum Glory, Otherworld Return and most teams. Prometheus is a T2 Guardian who steals stats and counters crits, fitting Wild Spirit and Arcane Wisdom. Pick by the team you are building.
