Thor Skills

Thunder Prison Judgment

S1 · Overdrive · 18s cooldown

Raises the Thunder Hammer into the air and continuously releases lightning strikes on surrounding enemies. Each strike deals magic damage equal to 49-73% of Attack and applies Shock up to 3 times per target. Then, descends to the ground, dealing magic damage equal to 405-605% of Attack to enemy units within an extra-large circular area and detonating all Thunder Goddess Sigil on the field. During this skill, gains Control Immunity.

Divine Hammer Strike

S2 · Ultimate Skill · 16s cooldown

Throws and retrieves the Thunder Hammer in a straight line, dealing magic damage equal to 180-300% of Attack to enemy units along the path both when thrown and retrieved. Upon retrieval, it additionally drags the first enemy unit it collides with 20% closer and applies a 4-second Stun. If the Stun is successfully applied, gains Morale.

Casts once immediately at the start of the battle.

Elemental Grace

S3 · Secret Skill · 6s cooldown

When present, each time an allied Luminary triggers an Elemental Reaction, applies a random Blessing Buff to them (prioritizing the one they do not currently have). When possessing both Morale and Fervor, enters the Grace status. While in the Grace status, gains the skill Thunderlight Shock: Strikes enemies in a large circular area in front, dealing 2 instances of magic damage equal to 360-600% of Attack and applying Shock twice. Base Cooldown is 6 seconds. This skill's damage includes 100% Lifesteal.

Heavenly Thunder Dance

S4 · Special Skill · 12s cooldown

Deals 180-340% of Attack as magic damage to enemies within a cone-shaped area in the space ahead and applies Shock. Additionally, inflicts an extra 0.1-second Stun on targets with 2 or more stacks of Thunder Goddess Sigil.

Ranges such as 340-520% show the value at skill level 1 and at max level. Keywords are explained in the glossary.

Our Take on Thor

Thor is T2, an SSR EX whose value is tied to one faction. Outside Elemental Echo she has little reason to be on the field; inside it she is the team's Shock source and Detonation tool. Each Shock has a 50% chance to add a Thunder Goddess Sigil, up to 5 per target, node 4 adds a Sigil whenever the team triggers an Elemental Reaction, and her Overdrive detonates every Sigil for 320-560% of Attack per stack. Divine Hammer Strike opens each fight with a 4-second Stun and, through node 2, gives her both Morale and Fervor for Grace and Thunderlight Shock. She is one of the selectable picks in the 29 October Mythical Summon, but she is a big-spender unit: choose her only if you already run Elemental Echo.

Strengths

  • +Divine Hammer Strike casts at battle start, drags the first enemy hit and stuns it for 4 seconds; Divine Hammerbreaker at divinity level 6 stuns every enemy it hits on the return.
  • +Thunder Prison Judgment applies Shock during the strikes and then detonates every Thunder Goddess Sigil on the field, with each stack dealing 320-560% of Attack.
  • +Node 2 gives her Morale and Fervor on a successful stun, so she reaches Grace and Thunderlight Shock, with 100% Lifesteal, without help.
  • +Elemental Grace gives a random Blessing Buff to any ally who triggers an Elemental Reaction.

Weaknesses

  • −Outside Elemental Echo teams she loses most of her value.
  • −As an SSR EX listed as a pick for big spenders, she is expensive to collect.
  • −Her defense rests on Dodge and Sigil shields of 6% Max HP each that last only 6 seconds.

How to Play Thor

Thor fights from the front or middle row. Divine Hammer Strike goes off once at battle start, so the opening stun and her first Morale come for free. With node 2, a successful stun gives both Morale and Fervor, so she can reach Grace from the first throw. The Overdrive should land when Sigil stacks are high. Most recorded Echo teams use Vermilion Bird, Morgana, Zagreus, Thor: the other three apply Burn, Cold and reactions first, node 4 turns each reaction into a Sigil, and Thor's detonation then cashes them in. Thunder Prison Judgment also applies Shock up to 3 times per target before its landing hit, so it builds some Sigil before detonating them. One recorded Echo lineup opens with Thor instead, when the goal is early control. In Grace, Thunderlight Shock hits twice for 360-600% of Attack on a 6-second cooldown with 100% Lifesteal, which is her main sustain. Heavenly Thunder Dance adds a 0.1-second Stun on targets with 2 or more Sigil, a small interrupt. For divinity, take Health Enhancement, Elemental Attack at level 2 (it triggers on her Shocks), Health Enhancement or Anti-Crit Enhancement at level 3, Elemental Physical Defense at level 4, Health Enhancement or Break Up at level 5 and Divine Hammerbreaker at level 6. Use the Lord subclass in PvP and Vanguard in PvE.

Good Teammates

  • Morgana (SSR+) – During Elemental Symphony she applies Cold to any target an ally hits with Shock, turning Thor's Shocks into reactions that add Sigil through node 4.
  • Vermilion Bird (SSR+) – The main carry of Thor's Echo formations; gains Energy from allied Elemental Reactions and Scorching Sun stacks from the Detonations Thor helps trigger.
  • Salome (SSR+) – Applies Shock with her skills and is built to boost Shock users, so Sigil stacks build faster for Thor's detonation.
  • Zagreus (SSR+) – Casts just before Thor in the Echo order and adds Cold and Freeze, setting up reactions and Sigil before the detonation.
  • Poseidon (SSR EX) – Inflicts Cold with every skill, creating reactions with Thor's Shock, and Frost Barrier can save Thor from a lethal hit.

Keywords in brackets are explained in the status effect glossary.

Should You Invest?

No star target is listed, and her build priority is marked for big spenders. Her kit works from the talent nodes; spend on copies only if Elemental Echo is your main team. Divinity: Health Enhancement, Elemental Attack, Health Enhancement, Elemental Physical Defense, Health Enhancement and Divine Hammerbreaker. Relic: Star Crystal Greatsword. Subclass: Lord for PvP, Vanguard for PvE. Gear: Bloodthirst (20% Attack, 8% Lifesteal) with HP and Evade or Judgment pieces. Free players choosing in the Mythical Summon should note that Artemis and Hela are T1 and fit more teams; pick Thor only for an established Elemental Echo roster.

Thor FAQ

Is Thor worth picking in the Mythical Summon?
Only if you already play Elemental Echo. She is T2 and works mainly as that faction's Shock and Detonation tool. Artemis and Hela, also among the selectable picks, are T1 and fit more teams.
Is Thor good outside Elemental Echo teams?
Not really. Her Sigil stacking, node 4 and Elemental Grace all depend on allied Elemental Reactions, so outside an Elemental team she loses most of her value.
Lord or Vanguard for Thor?
Lord in PvP, where its Overdrive damage per buff adds burst to Thunder Prison Judgment. Vanguard in PvE, where its defense gain for each enemy hit keeps her alive in longer fights.
How do Thunder Goddess Sigils work?
Each Shock she applies has a 50% chance to add a Sigil, up to 5 per target, and node 4 adds one for every team Elemental Reaction. Her Overdrive detonates all of them, each stack dealing 320-560% of Attack in a large circle.
